Bliss balls are basically a mixture of dried fruits, seeds and nuts which are blended together, rolled into a ball shape and then coated in coconut, seeds, nuts or chocolate powder.
Ingredients
1/3 cups Sunria Cashew Nuts
1/3 cups almonds & pumpkin seeds (activated and dehydrated)
1/3 cups dried dates/ apricot/ figs
A pinch Sonnentor Cinnamon Powder
A pinch of salt
2tbsp Pacari Cacao powder for dusting and coating
Directions
- Activation of seeds and nuts release the toxic phytic acid and improve the digestibility. To activate almond, soak 12 overnight. To activate the pumpkin seeds, soak 4-6 hours. To dehydrate, use a dehydrate (45°C) or use oven using fan at the lowest temperature for 12-24 hours. It should be crunchy when fully dehydrated.
- To make bliss ball, put all the ingredients in a food processor, blend until become a “soft dough’. Leave some nuts and seeds in bigger chunks to give a crunchy texture. Add 1 or 2 more pieces of dates and blend if not sticky enough.
- Put the cacao powder in a small bowl. Roll the soft dough on both palms to make into balls. Roll the ball in the bowl of cacao powder and coat evenly by rolling the ball around.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes and it is ready to eaten once set.
