675g Langit pulut item
1tsp salt
100ml clean water
2 pandan leaves
Directions
- Wash and soak the pulut item for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain and transfer the pulut to a tray.
- Mix 1/2 tsp of salt with thin coconut milk.
- Pour the mixture onto the pulut. Mix evenly. Put some pandan leaves on top.
- Steam over medium heat for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the tray from heat. Discard pandan leaves.
- Mix 1/2 tsp of salt with thick coconut milk. Pour mixture onto the pulut.
- Fluff the rice and steam over medium heat for another 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove from heat.
- Press down until firm using spatula.
- Top with another tray. Load with weight and let it cool.
- Set aside for a few hours until it is completely cool. When cold, unmold and cut with a plastic cutter.
- Serve with kaya, enjoy!
