Lada Mupoh, namely white pepper in Bidayuh ethnic language. It is grown from single variety peppercorn- Lada Kuching, with pleasant aroma and mild heat with slightly earthy notes.
Freshly handpicked pepper berries soaked in running clear water for 2 weeks to disintegrate the outer skin, then sun dried to preserve the peppercorn properties.
Farmer Silan insists on planting the single-origin pepper- Lada Kuching among 4 different variety of pepper, which takes a longer time to fruit but with a pleasant aroma profile with earthy notes.
Only reachable with a strenuous hour-long hike, pepper tree growing up on the hills have direct access to spring water and is isolated from any contamination.
Organic pepper berries are harvested only once a year, usually in March. The yield and weight of the harvests are also significantly lower than conventional farming, making it even more precious.
