As its Latin name suggests, this sub-shrub is a variety of thyme. The plant is also known under the name of Spanish thyme or resinous thyme. Its fairly sweet scent is reminiscent of eucalyptus. In diffusion, the essential oil of wild marjoram is appreciated for its cleansing and purifying properties during winter periods.
