Farmer Silan insists on planting the single-origin pepper- Lada Kuching among 4 different variety of pepper, which takes a longer time to fruit but with a pleasant aroma profile with earthy notes.
Only reachable with a strenuous hour-long hike, pepper tree growing up on the hills have direct access to spring water and is isolated from any contamination.
Organic pepper berries are harvested only once a year, usually in March. The yield and weight of the harvests are also significantly lower than conventional farming, making it even more precious.
Pepper berries are hand harvested by smallholder pepper farmers selectively at the right stage of maturity, ensuring the quality of every single pepper berry.
Traditional sun-dried peppercorn utilizes the natural energy of sun rays without altering the characteristics of peppercorn.
